76th Massachusetts Women's Mid-Amateur Championship for the Keyes Cup

Tuesday October 6th - Wednesday October 7th

Wollaston Golf Club

 

Format: Competition will be 36 Holes at Stroke Play in two separate divisions - Championship & Tournament division. Championship Division will consist of a Gross only competition, and the Tournament Division will consist of a Gross and Net competition. 

 

Playing Handicap will be calculated based on the October 1, 2026 Handicap Revision. Handicap Index® used to determine a competitors Playing Handicap will not exceed 18.0.

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship sites. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

Golf Carts & Push Carts: The use of automotive transportation (golf carts) is permitted. Carts are Included in the Championship entry fee. The use of push/pull carts is also permitted.

 

Caddies: Competitors may use a caddie during all rounds of the championship.

 

Time of Starting:    

 Round 1 - Tuesday, October 6th - 8:30am start off the 1st tee & 10th tee

 Round 2 - Wednesday, October 7th - 8:30am start off the 1st tee & 10th tee

  • Competitors will be repaired based on Rd. 1 scores.

 

Practice Rounds: Please see below for a change in yardages for the championship proper

 

Dates & Times (based on availability) - please note that no additional dates will be available for practice rounds, tee times may be booked only 4 days in advance

      • Thursday, September 10th:  3:00 PM - 3:20 PM
      • Tuesday, September 15th:  2:00 PM - 2:20 PM
      • Wednesday, September 23rd: 1:30 PM - 1:50 PM
      • Tuesday, September 29th:  2:00 PM - 2:20 PM
      • Wednesday, September 30th:  2:00 PM - 2:20 PM
      • Thursday, October 1st:  2:00 PM - 2:20 PM
      • Saturday, October 3rd:  1:30 PM - 1:50 PM

 

 

Notes:Please email the Wollaston Golf Club Golf Shop at proshop@wollastongc.org or call (617) 698-0909 in order to schedule a practice round.

    • No walk-up times will be available.
  • There will be a mandatory cart fee of $32 per player.  This must be paid in cash.  There is an ATM machine on premises.
  • Competitors will be limited to one practice round and will be paired up with other Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship competitors.
  • Only one ball may be played per competitor during their practice round.
  • Practice rounds are for players only.
    • For competitors unable to take advantage of a practice round dates, the practice putting green will be available for competitors after 5:00pm on Monday, October 5th. The practice range/short game area will not be available.

 

 

Approximate Yardage Guide for the Wollaston Golf Club: Please note yardages for both divisions have slightly been changed compared to the original practice round yardages. Please note, a minor adjustment of yardages/tee placements might be made after Mass Golf staff does course set up.

Practice Range: Will be open and available before Round 1 & 2 at 7:30am.  220 yards MAX.

Food & Beverage: 

  • Tuesday, October 5th
    • Sponsored by Mass Golf. The Snack Bar will be open for snacks and drinks for purchase (CASH ONLY).
  • Wednesday, October 6th
    • Lunch is available at the player's expense in the Snack Bar only (CASH ONLY).

 

Score Posting: All scores from individual stroke play events (qualifiers & championships proper) will be automatically posted to a player’s Mass Golf/USGA Handicap Index by the Mass Golf staff.

 

Prizes: The Grace Keyes Cup will be engraved with the names of the champions. Trophies will be given to the champion of each division (gross). Merchandise certificates will be awarded (gross & net) and are only redeemable at Wollaston Golf Shop.
